As an artist, wife, mother, sister, daughter, friend, neighbor and all of the many other hats I wear, there is no end to the number of times I am interrupted during the course of any given day. I used to wish everyone and every thing could be like obedient children and raise their hands and wait for me to call on them before breaking into my life.
Now, I have learned to embrace these interruptions and to use their energy to propel my work. At least some of the time.
